“I love everything about this dental practice. I am on child number 3, so that should tell you something. Everyone here including the dentist is extremely nice and polite. A chill and laid back environment.”
“All the stuff very friendly, this is my second time with smile Doctors . My son was very satisfied with the results and now my daughter feels confident with the stuff too.”
“For 17 years, Dr. Teshana N. Murray has been my daughter's dentist, the only dentist my daughter has ever seen and I can say that she is the best dentist in Austin. She is loving, charismatic, and gentle. This place provides the reassurance that your children are in good hands.🥰I can recommend this place with real experience.”
“I highly recommend this office for your new smile. This is my second experience here. First was my daughter when she was in high-school. Her smile is beautiful. So I went back. The staff is always stellar and the atmosphere was fun, very upbeat. After just under two years I was rewarded with the most posh smile! Eternally grateful 🙏.”

Common questions
Get clear, helpful answers to the questions parents ask most about orthodontic treatment.

Experts recommend a first check-up around age 7. Many children won't need treatment that early, but an early look can catch jaw growth or habit issues while they're easier to fix, and helps us plan the best timing.
Most children finish in about 12 to 24 months, depending on their smile. We'll give you an estimate at the consultation and update it as treatment goes on.
Braces don't hurt to put on. Teeth can feel sore for a few days afterward. A warm saltwater rinse, soft foods and an over-the-counter pain reliever help, and orthodontic wax soothes cheeks and lips.
Yes. Most children head right back to class after their appointment.
Skip sticky, chewy, hard and crunchy foods like caramel, gum, popcorn, hard candy and jerky. Cut apples and corn off the cob into small pieces. Soft foods like pasta, yogurt and bananas are easy choices.
Yes. An orthodontic mouthguard protects their teeth and braces during sports. Teens who play an instrument usually adjust within a few weeks.
